Customer Training

As part of Svendborg Brakes´ specific customer training programme, we are conducting sessions for Windtec and GE Energy July 2011.

Training Windteck
The first training took place July 5th and 6th in Bünde for Windtec, where we welcomed six Service Engineers.

The training session was constructed to specifically fit the needs and requirements of Windtec and it contained training on brakes and hydraulics for wind turbine applications.

Service Engineers of Windtec mainly support Windtec's customers around the world, especially in the Asian region. They assist in installing turbines as well as training of the site and assembly staff. Accordingly the scope of this specific training was:

Basic Component Knowledge
How to operate our production in Windtec turbines & Important safety information on our products Yaw Brakes, Rotor Brakes, Rotor Locks incl. related hydraulic units and major components installation, maintenance, trouble shooting and repair

Windtec is one of the design offices, with whom we have a close cooperation. Their customers are potentially our customers in terms of brakes and hydraulics and due to the number of Windtec's customers, this gives us an interesting field of business. Training GE Energy Spain
In week 29 the Service Team in Bünde went to Spain for training GE Energy Spain, on their own premises. GE Energy had requested us to train their Service Engineers, thus it was a paid service.

GE Energy is a well known customer within our company, however, if you wish to lean more about the GE Energy you can click here.

The scope was similar to the Windtec training, however, specialized on GE Energy's products, which are 1,5MW turbine and 2,5MW turbines with focus on 2,5MW. The practical part of this training was done directly on a 2,5MW wind turbine from GE Energy.
