Refurbishment of excavator, Rosia mine,
Rumania
In 2004 one excavators of the type SRs2000 made by Man Takraf,
Lauchhammer, Germany were completely overhauled in Rosia mine,
Tirgu Jiu, Rumania. The capacity of the excavator is approx. 6000
m3/hour.
Part of the overhaul involved increasing the safety on the boom
winch. Svendborg Brakes were selected as brake supplier. By means
of 4 brake callipers of the type BSFI 525 Monospring on a 3300 mm
brake disc Svendborg Brakes provides more than 1,000,000 N in
clamping force. |

The capacity of each excavator is approx. 6000 m3/hour.
